As a global technology consulting company, attune is always looking at developing talent and outstanding individuals who can tackle some of the biggest challenges in a fast changing digital economy. As a part of its on-going efforts, the company conducts the attune Summer Internship program each year to provide students with hands-on experience in working as a consultant.
In 2018, the attune Summer Internship program enters its fourth year and promises to provide upto 8 students with the opportunity to gain exposure to one of Sri Lanka’s leading Global Technology Consulting firms.
Since inception in 2006, attune has grown in scale, currently operating in 16 locations across 8 countries, providing SAP driven business technology solutions exclusively to Fashion & Lifestyle industry customers.
The company enables digital transformations across an expanding and enviable portfolio of customers including Burberry, Coach, Kering (home to luxury brands such as Gucci, Brioni and Saint Laurent), Nike, Adidas, and Puma.
Students are given an overview of the field of Consulting while gaining hands-on exposure to SAP’s solutions. The one month program acquaints them to other areas including Software Development, Leadership, Sustainability, Business Etiquette, Lean Systems, Marketing and Soft skills Training.
As part of the training in 2017, students were given the opportunity to meet and learn from many business leaders during one-to-one sessions. They also visited apparel manufacturing plants of MAS Holdings in order to gain an appreciation of the industry. The students got the opportunity to spend time with the MAS Innovation Team and gained valuable insights into the Sri Lankan IT Industry during a comprehensive session conducted by the Leadership at SLASSCOM.
As a part of their final project, they were given the task of organizing a ‘kids day’ at the attune office to demonstrate their managerial, leadership and interpersonal skills.
“As an attune Summer Intern, I was able to learn many areas of an organization. I am very grateful for the unique experience”, Areefa Thassim (Summer intern – 2017 Batch).
The 2018 program is scheduled to commence in the first week of July and students who are currently pursuing degrees in their 3rd or final year can apply here.
