Across its 130 plus year history Carhartt has become a global brand known for its rugged, long lasting workwear apparel and boots. Having experienced continued growth due to increasing popularity, it soon became imperative for US-based Carhartt to not only transform their technology, but also the processes that the technology was enabling. After thoroughly researching different options, Carhartt took a major step in its transformation journey by replacing its heavily customized ERP with a stable, scalable SAP S/4HANA platform.

It was a top priority for Carhartt to remain open and provide a frictionless shopping experience for customers, ensuring there was no downtime and no negative impacts on business. However, the technology upgrade occurred at the same time as the pandemic, leaving the company to shift gears rapidly and transition the project to a remote working model.
